Episode 48 – It’s Mueller Time! part 2, final

The injury to the integrity of the justice system is the same regardless of whether a person committed an underlying wrong

Welcome back to the thrilling conclusion, Volume II of the Special Report!  In this episode the team discusses the special counsel investigation into potentially obstructive behavior on the part of the President of the United States.

Would you like to watch the extended interview between Donald Trump and Lester Holt on NBC instead of just hearing our pathetic, out-of-context snip?

Episode 47 – We Read the Mueller Report! part 1

The Mueller Report is vast and complex.  Any telling of it will be limited.  Even a full reading of it would be inadequate, since the report is but a condensed version of a nearly two year investigation.

We have read the report and that’s today’s story.  As a nation we need to understand what has happened and what continues to happen.  How do we proceed as a people?

Want to read the original order from D/Attorney General Rod Rosenstein establishing the Mueller investigation in the first place?  It’s only one page long, double spaced.

On 6 January, 2017 the US intelligence community released it’s assessment that Russia was very likely behind an attack on the 2016 US election.

Haven’t gotten your own copy of the Mueller Report yet?  Just pop on over to the Dept of Justice website for that

Sergei Magnitsky attempted to reveal corruption in the Russian government and subsequently died in Russian custody after suffering great torture.  He should be remembered

The Great War, a documentary on PBS.org it still highly recommended.

Episode 20 – The Great War

November 11, 1918 – November 11, 2018

One hundred years ago today the greatest and most violent struggle the world had known was brought to its end.  More has happened in the last one hundred years then in any other century of human activity and this titanic struggle between the world’s most powerful forces determined the course it would take.

Join us as we pause and reflect and try to learn from our past.  We encourage you to learn on your own, or join us by watching The Great War, a documentary on PBS.org.  It’s a great documentary, too, we give it unqualified recommendations.

Note:  The Great War  is a six hour documentary, served up on PBS.org in three 1-hour segments.  This episode of the Secular Hubcast is drawn on our experience of Part 1 of the documentary only.  We will be watching the remainder of the documentary and continuing this discussion in future podcast episodes.
