Exciting Secular Hub Events - Join Us for a World of Fun and Community!
Discover a vibrant lineup of events at the Secular Hub, where we offer an array of regular gatherings to make your week unforgettable.
Start your Sundays right with our informal coffee meetup. Join us for a cup of coffee, tea, and engaging conversations. Donuts, pastries, and other treats often make an appearance. Snacks and beverages available for purchase. Newcomers are warmly welcomed!
Wednesday evenings come alive with our virtual happy hour on Zoom. Bring your favorite drinks and snacks and join the conversation. Feel free to hop in and out as you please. Worldwide visitors and newcomers are encouraged to participate.
Enjoy movie nights on Thursdays with concessions like soft drinks, snacks, and popcorn. Exclusive to Hub Members, our movie titles remain a surprise due to licensing restrictions. Movie selections can be found on the Secular Hub Online website (dues-paying members only). You can become a member online or in person starting at just $5 per month.
Immerse yourself in the mellow vibes of the 1930s as the Starving Oligarchs Jazz Band performs jazz standards. Dress up if you like and enjoy good music, great conversation, and available concessions. Open to the public and free for members, with a suggested $5 donation for non-members.
Savor a hearty breakfast on the first Sunday of every month. Feast on an all-you-can-eat buffet, including pancakes, French toast, eggs, and more. Prices are $8 for Hub Member adults and $4 for Hub Member kids under 12, with options for non-members. RSVP on Meetup appreciated.
Join us for the popular Japanese game of Riichi Mahjong. All skill levels are welcome, and beginner lessons are available. RSVP on Meetup to help plan the event.
Engage in insightful discussions as we explore non-fiction books. Join us in person at the Secular Hub or via Zoom. Monthly book selections can be found on the Meetup post. Everyone is welcome!
This event is targeted roughly at millennials and younger and those who identify as such. This will be a pretty chill event aimed at getting to know each other. BYOB if inclined, and we will probably end up ordering in some take out.
Bring the family to enjoy family-friendly movies on the big screen. While we can't reveal movie titles, expect G, PG, or Family Friendly PG-13 selections. Concessions available for purchase, and a suggested $5 donation for non-members.
Unleash your inner gamer at our game night. BYOB and snacks or enjoy concessions available at the Hub. All are welcome, including kids!
Join a thoughtful discussion on the issues affecting our nation. We welcome diverse viewpoints and encourage fact-based, constructive conversations. Free for Hub Members, with a suggested $5 donation for non-members.
Explore fascinating scientific topics with our guest speakers each month. Some lectures offer kid-friendly versions. This event is free and open to the public. Check Meetup for more details on the monthly topics.
Experience engaging sessions on Humanism, including movies, videos, and speaker presentations. Join us for discussion and mingle. Some evenings feature potluck dinners and Hub Jam Music nights.
Whether you're a musician or a music lover, come to enjoy live performances or join impromptu jam sessions. Don't forget to bring your favorite dish and beverages to share. Let's make music together!
Get ready to laugh at our mix of improv and stand-up comedy. Whether you're a performer or a spectator, it's all about having a great time. Free for members with a $5 suggested donation for non-members.
Join us at Darcy's Bistro for Happy Hour and a delicious meal. Newcomers are welcome, and an RSVP on Meetup helps us prepare.
Discover inclusive family scouting with Navigators USA. Build leadership skills, connect with your community, and promote diversity and sustainability. Membership fees apply, learn more at Scout Calendar.
Join us for open conversations about death, life, and making the most of our time. This is not a grief group but a dialogue on our mortality in a secular context. Open to the public, check our calendar for the next discussion day.
Join us to celebrate Darwin's birthday and the Hub's anniversary. Celebrate the founding of the Secular Hub (2013) and Darwin's scientific discovery with cake!
Enjoy a summer BBQ and picnic, hosted jointly with the Freedom from Religion Foundation. Burgers and brats are on us; bring a side to share. Games and new friendships await. This family-friendly event is free for all.
Spend Thanksgiving with us as we prepare the mouthwatering turkey. All we ask is that you bring your dish warm and ready to share. We've got limited oven space, but don't worry, the turkey is on us! It's a time to be grateful and share delicious food.
Join us for our Winter Solstice Celebration as we come together to honor the changing of the seasons. This event can take on an informal, "BYOB" atmosphere in some years, while in other years, it transforms into a more formal catered affair with ticketed entry. Be sure to keep an eye on our website or Meetup for the latest details as the year draws to a close. Embrace the spirit of the season with us!
If you don't want to celebrate Christmas with the family or don't have family in town, come to the Hub and celebrate Festivus! Potluck dinner and other activities.
