Where:
Secular Hub
254 Knox Ct.
Denver, co, 80219
We have Susan Gerbic, a Nationally Touring Speaker at the Hub on Friday, May 13th as part of her Cross-Country trek after receiving the Capital Area Skeptic’s Philip Klass Award for outstanding contributions in critical thinking and scientific understanding.
As this is our usual Family Movie Night, we encourage all to attend, bring the kids and we can put on a movie on for them downstairs while the adults enjoy the talk upstairs. After the talk, Susan would love to spend some time with our community members, so we can either go down to Knox Pizza (or somewhere else) or order in. BYOB!
There is no charge for the talk, but we encourage donations at the door to help offset Susan's travel expenses.
ABOUT THE TALK:
Science Activism does not stop during a world-wide pandemic or How I spent my lockdown
Susan Gerbic will recount the activism she and her teams undertook during the two+ years of lockdown. She will explain how grief vampires took advantage of online resources and we should also. Also discussed will be the trials experienced on Wikipedia fighting against the nonsense and the battle to stay in the game.
ABOUT SUSAN:
